The training team here is hilarious. Top Gear style fuel economy challenge. (For those who watch Top Gear, it's like the Race to Blackpool episode). Great job guys!

Pretty impressive for winter driving as well.
Think I recognize those wind turbines from Buffalo region.

So, advocating drafting (aka tailgating) big trucks. not a good idea there.

Cool video. I'm surprised they put 700 miles on 3 new cars that I'm sure someone wants to buy.

Very nice. If more Toyota dealers were half as knowledgeable and passionate…

Drafting big trucks in good conditions is a perfectly safe thing to do. You don't sit 15 feet behind them, you sit 1-1.5 seconds behind them. The benefit even at that distance is 15% or so, and you can stop way faster than they can so even if they do a panic stop, you'll have no trouble avoiding them. I do this only on relatively unpopulated highways with two lanes on my side so I can go around them as well.

As with most things, there's a safe way and a not so safe way.

So ... for us Europeans ... a bit over 1100 km on approximately 40 L of gas ... wow ... impressive.

With DRCC, you'll be ok. I've set DRCC to the medium setting and still managed to see a benefit from that distance. Yes it's not as good as "NASCAR style" drafting but obviously there's a safety component in sitting further back from the truck so you can avoid a collision.

Could be demos that they'll send to dealers in the region, media vehicles or pre-production prototypes.

So is the good mileage just when you are driving to Buffalo?

The mileage is impressive given the near or below freezing temperatures (29°F was mentioned in the video).

It also shows that driving style matters for fuel efficiency.

didn't they get better return mileage? (cause they had a head wind going towards Buffalo)

Yup and two charges (at the office and at the hotel).

Ah, yes ... of course (I didn't mention but thought about that :) ) .... But still way above 1000 km in hybrid mode. Which remains quite impressive ....

I'm looking for Training Videos. This was NOT. They only drove from Jersy to Buffalo and back with very litle info on the car.
I asked my salesman, who was trained in Buffalo, if he or they could post their training info and dvd's, but it doesn't look promising.

See the "stickied" thread in this forum (Toyota USA - How To Videos), and also look on YouTube for videos by Cloud9Life, (Optimus Prime on these forums). Also check out some of the Toyota 2016 Prius videos on YouTube - for certain features like the Toyota Safety features, they will be the same for the Prime. Note that if you have an iOS device, there is a "Toyota Owners" app that makes it even easier to get to the videos (not sure if they have the same app for Android, but they might).

I agree, the New York Region video above wasn't training. It was entertaining, though!

They do have training videos for the regular Prius. However, it's rare for a regional HQ or dealer network to post their training videos.

Also, I'm not sure what kind of information you're looking for as training videos are different from How-To videos for the consumer. If you're looking for information on how things work or a video version of the manual, you want "how-to".

Without getting precise, that looks to be something better than 110 mpg ( American Gal ) Nice conservative driving! Viel Glück.
