greetings from Australia, a quick update on my Prius v

I'm very pleased that the car is doing 4.2L/100km / 67mpg (that is below the advertised 4.4L/100km figure).

the car is mainly driven in peak hour traffic condition (average speed below 30km/h) , standard 16inch wheels, 1-2 occupants most of the time, 95 octane fuel, eco mode.

That's good - I used to get excited when I first got mine, but then realized after tracking my averages manually calculated via Fuelly.com, that my actual l/100km was 0.5 to 0.7 more than what was diplayed in the car. That has been consistent after 1 year of tracking and using different gas pumps. Nonetheless, it's still excellent :)

I've had it down to 4.0... But couldn't keep it down that low for long. In my Area the most fuel efficient Drive to work is now closed for 2 years due to a bridge being replaced. so now i have to face a couple of hills every morning.. 4.2 Was very easy to get in the summer time. CAr gets amazing mileage in the summer... :) Wish i could have warm weather all year round.

Curious. In the US with mpg, I think people find the dash number about 5% high. The once I calculated my mpg, the dash was 10% high.
This is the first time I remember somebody saying the dash value is lower than actual.

You have higher MPG number than actual and he has lower l/100km number than actual. Both are in the same direction in terms of economy.

Mine displays 7% lower than actual (l/100km).

    Ah. Thanks.
Higher MPG == more fuel efficient
Lower l/100km == more fuel efficient
