    Hi All,

New to the forum and I'm looking for a new Prius for a work commute thats 120 one way twice a week. Just on Autotrader is a little vague when i do a search for certain extras. Would be ideal if their was a model that had all the following or what to look for.

    Heated Seats
    Leather
Cruise Control (ideally Adaptive Cruise Control)

ok the list is rather small but is the Adaptive Cruise Control something sellers overlook when selling and how would i look out for to see if the car had that option?

Thanks in advance for your help

    Cheers

    James

There is Prius I II III IV V. The I is only like commercial vehicle rarely on used market. The II has the cruise control and all basic features. The adaptive cruise control only comes with the tech package on the Prius V which is pretty rare to find.

If you are looking at a level 5 prius you can tell if it has the adaptive cruise control by looking at the steering wheel. One of the lower silver buttons on the right side will have a button with a ))) type of graphic (looks like a sideways wifi signal) which the control for how close you want the Radar cruise to follow. If this button looks like a blank it does not have it.

it might also depend on the year you're looking at. i'm not sure, but i think the packages change year to year.
even toyota dealers selling used prius are confused by the packages.

The 2010 Prius IV and V have heated leather as standard. From 2011 through 2015 those models would be known as the Four and Five.

If you can live w/o adaptive cruise control, then model 4 without the sunroof/solar panel option is your cheapest bet.(y)

I find the regular cruise control adaptive enough. Once engaged, tap down for 1km/hr slower, up for faster. I use this a lot for highway driving, I think it saves a lot of gas and keeps my speed honest, ha ha.

My wife wants us to install heated seats but I hesitate. ($500 at a local shop) I may get her a heated seat cushion.
