Thanks. I usually use Android and that app doors not appear to have access to that part of the profile. Updated it on my laptop. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Yes forgot about financed cars - I believe that if the vehicle is financed, the finance company /Bank will insist that it be covered for REPLACEMENT value for 2 years to cover the loan, and will request a copy of the insurance policy. That's what happened with a couple of leased vehicles I had in the past. That's probably why most insurance companies include full replacement for under 2yr old vehicles as standard.
In BC, Canada, insuring for "replacement with new" is available, for a premium. ICBC, the main insurer (a "Crown Corporation", closely tied with BC government) offers that option for the first two years after new purchase. It is by far the majority insurer. There are some independent insurers, just for collision, that offer similarly, for first three years.
I actually looked into that policy recently. It's about 40% more expensive than their standard policy, so, you'll still be paying for the new car, eventually. There ain't no free lunch. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I believe they are saying one model year newer for the same (or possibly equivalent) model to what you already have. I guess somebody might be able to go from a PiP to a Prime, though.
Well, we finally saw the car in good light. It's obvious our baby sacrificed herself too save us! Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
That's taking the rear spoiler into Super Bird territory I guess the initial impact was a rear-ender? Glad to see the passenger compartment relatively intact. The brochure doesn't explicitly mention "whiplash injury lessening seat" (yeah.. Engrish) but hopefully the front seat design reduced that possibility.
It did it very well. Actually, inside, there is very little damage, except airbag deployment. I believe it earned it's 5 Star safety rating. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
"What a machine!" Like jeremy Clarkson says. Top gear should do a segment on the indestructible prius. Let's troll the trolls. Glad to hear you are ok. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
