I just bought the advanced last week and my screen shuts down when it's on FM constantly. It also happened on the one I test drove. It sounds like it's a common problem as the dealer informed me that they had others with the same issue. Has anyone heard if there's a fix for this?
a problem with the new prime? i can't believe it. i recall some 2016's resetting or something, but i figured everything would be fixed for 2017.
I had a similar problem on mine. The problem with mine was a bad USB cable as I had my phone connected. The frequent disconnects and reconnects made the computer on he display unhappy and it was really on the fritz. Replaced with a new apple brand cable for my iPhone and problems resolved. iPhone ?
I had exactly the same problem with my 3 day old Advanced. Civic4982's post solved my problem. Everything was working until I switched to a 14" black Satechi "MFI_Certified" lightning cable I had bought from Amazon. I didn't like a white Apple cable routed into the armrest compartment for the way it stood out against the black interior and also the 3 ft. length. I saw Civic's post and switched back to an Apple cable and all the problems vanished.
Thanks for the replies, however, this is the screen itself turning off on fm, not my iPhone. Everything else seems to work fine.
Interesting. Your problem appears to be different than mine. Yes mine was the 11.6" screen shutting off but my phone was plugged into USB. If you're not plugged in then our issues are notably different. iPhone ?
Have Prime Advanced (11.6" screen) with rebooting issues. Started last week when on FM and I selected HD radio subchannel. The unit rebooted, acquired the radio signal, then reboots. No other FM channels can be selected. The cycle continues until audio is either turned off or another source is selected. After taking it to the dealership, they said it was a bad display unit. I just had my display unit replaced today. On the drive home, I selected an HD subchannel and the reboots started again. Definitely not a hardware issue. This appears to be an Entune/firmware glitch. Will be taking back to dealership...
