OK I just noticed I have a issue with my turn signal lights not working up front. So I look to see if they work in the back of the car. an when I turn either side they both flash. but if I use the left they both work but the left side is brighter. An that's with the headlights either on or off. But when I use my hazards only the back work an not the front. Any suggestions. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Has the car had any electrical work done on it recently, or in the past due to crash damage? From the description, there are discontinuities (fronts) and cross/back-signaling (rears).
The easiest answer might be a bad ground or wiring connection but it's hard to say. I would certainly check the fuse, sockets at the bulbs and grounds. Other than that, you could take it to a dealer. A good auto electrical shop may be able to help using the diagram attached. There is no "flasher" chip as the function is integrated into a bigger dash module. IF you have changed to LED lamps change back to normal.
