2014 Prius 3, Bluetooth stopped pairing 2 weeks ago, I tried turning off bluetooth in car and cleared all pairings on phone, tried again no pairing, even though it could see my phone. Took it to dealer first they said it needed a $47 software update. That didn't work. Then they tried disconnecting the Bluetooth Extension Box. still same issue. They now say it needs a New Bluetooth Extension Box $1300 less $400 trade in. Does this sound real? Where is this box? can I buy an aftermarket version for less or just by a bluetooth speaker for the phone. This repair is not covered by warranty or extended warranty they said. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. The radio is not the JBL, it does have HD radio. My phone is not a smartphone, not an update issue with it, I can still connect to my wife's Ford Fusion Hybrid.
