Probably a dumb question but there's a cool little m/kWh gauge displayed next to your speedometer. How did you get that to show up?

Enable "split screen" capability in the main screen, then scroll through until that display is shown.

So true, I will definitely get on that once I make sure I get my $100 worth of ChargePoint juice, then time to hit the roads on pure HV mode to get true numbers on that.

I drive about 75 miles a day and on the drive in the morning usually get to about 26 miles before my EV runs out juice. That said only about 2/3 that EV portion is 70mph and the rest is around 30-40mph.

For the EPA tests, the tires on the cars can't have more than 4000 miles worth of wear. This is because worn tires have lower rolling resistance. So until the tires are broken in, don't worry.

EV Auto might give you better results by saving EV range for the lower speed parts at the end of your commute. Manually switching between EV and hybrid modes can give the same results, and maybe better when you are more familiar with the car. You can adjust the time spent in each mode to ensure you have a depleted battery before you get home.

I believe EV mode is the default on start up.

Happy New Year all. I'm at 500 miles with 75 miles ev. On my 84 round trip commute to work I'm somehow making it at 75 mpg with 52% ev. One time charge. Lol

My daily commute is 36 miles round trip, which is consisted of 6 miles to Fwy on-ramp (EV), 11 miles on Hwy (last 5 miles EV), 1 miles off-ramp (EV) to work, and a 18 mile return trip (all EV with 1-2 mile EV range left). My work is about 200 ft higher than my home elevation, sometimes stop and go traffic going to work. Return trip is usually with mild tail wind about 60 mph average on Hwy drive.

I tested pure EV range last Sunday morning (temp 37F). My car indicated EV range of 34 miles at start (full charge) but the actual EV driven to empty was a bit over 30 miles in a county road with little traffic. I tried another test this Sunday with a route less 10 miles compared to last Sunday. The result of this Sunday run is shown below (heavy tail wind going out and heavy head wind coming back in, actual elapsed time was 37 minutes).

First screen shot middle row indicates 12.9 miles of EV range left to empty. 21.3 of real trip miles today + 12.9 of estimated range left = total of 34.2 miles of range indicated. Judging from my daily commute experience, I believe I can count on the car driving the 12.9 miles or similar miles to empty under certain circumstance (i.e., congested Hwy traffic). I am just astonished with the consistent much greater than expected EV range. I admit that this is not strictly speaking "real" world mileage yet. But the car is driving at least 30-31 miles of EV range for me every day.

Especially compared to the initial press release range of 22miles. I was really close to buying a (used) cmax energi since it was 20 all electric until consumer reports put out that they got 28 consistently in the prime. And so far getting 30 isn't unreasonable at all either. Add on the 55-60mpg and I'm so happy I went with the prime even though it was much more.

It is in the second screen shot, second row, indicating 32 mph average. This is with many stop and go in city getting out to county roads and coming back in.
