OK, so I cannot say for sure that this was my Car's Mother Ship, but I want to think that it could be. Anyone know if that is possible?

I took the photo along Ocean Drive in Newport, RI. Google tells me more than 200,000 cars are now being off loaded a year at Quonset up the Narragansett Bay.

I recall reading in a post that there are five or six of these ships. So perhaps 16% chance? Say it is and we won't argue. ;)

Reminds me of one time we were driving to pick up son and daughter-in-law at the airport; they were coming back from Europe. Heading down one of the steep roads to Marine Drive, nearing the airport: we see a large airplane, on it's landing approach crossed left-to-right, all dramatic and hyper-real.

It may or may not have been our charges; I like to think it was.

I know that VW's and Subarus come into Quonset, but I'm not sure about Toyotas.

This article from the ProJo doesn't list toyotas are coming into the port, so they might be shipped to west coast and coming in via rail.

Auto imports to Quonset by ship increase for 6th straight year - News - providencejournal.com - Providence, RI

I worked in Quonset for a few months at the beginning of 2016...

Don't know about now, but when the GIII came out forum members were tracking them and they came into Oregon, LA, and somewhere on the east coast, around NY.

Not your ship. Toyota uses the Port of Newark, NJ for the Northeast and Mid Atlantic regions. Ship tracking thread in the Prime forum.
