    Whatever the issue is, I doubt it is load related.
    Seeing database errors again & statistics show Total 293 - members 21, guests 251, robots 21.
    Perhaps we need to list this site in the "In Memoriam" thread...

    This is so sad. Such an excellent site with such POOR upkeep.
    It still could be a DOS attack.....as that kind of activity wouldn't necessarily show up as a connected "user".
    If the site is on a shared server (very likely) it could even be a problem with an entirely unrelated piece of software running amok.

    Well, it seems nobody is minding the store. Site hiccups along, running on fumes, crashing, on and off. Reminiscent of the closing scene in "The Thing": we just huddle around the flames in the ruins, for a while...

    Mind you.....we've got a thread on Alien Contact running on the forum......has anybody considered the possibility that the modern day "MIB" are probably crawling all over the site, data mining, trying to identify those of us with "too much knowledge" we're not supposed to have.....has anyone's Prius been shadowed by a black unmarked helicopter lately?
