Nah @huskers . It would match more once he slices and dices a few peeps. THEN, the color stains on his costume would absolutely match the color of my car. Maximum Effort!

 

Not with the plug-ins while you are in EV mode, it just increases regeneration when coasting, same effect of pressing the brake pedal.

 

You might want to test that theory; according to the Prime Owner's Manual on page 333:

■ About engine braking
When shift position B is selected, releasing the accelerator pedal will apply
engine braking.
● When the vehicle is driven at high speeds, compared to ordinary gasoline-
fueled vehicles, the engine braking deceleration is felt less than that of other
vehicles.
● The vehicle can be accelerated even when shift position B is selected.
If the vehicle is driven continuously in the B position, fuel efficiency will
become low. Usually, select the D position.​

 

The quote from the manual is probably when the Prime is in HV mode.
It's not a theory but practice. I do not have the Prime's manual but I do own the Gen1 plug-in and if certain basic conditions are met (like battery temp and SOC are not too high) then in EV mode it behaves like I describe. No reason why the Prime will not follow.

I may have bought the car that was swapped for yours. They said they got it from Sunnyvale and swapped the one they had in inventory for it. I bought mine on 12/5.

 

Sound right.. I saw one in metallic color in Sunnyvale but I wanted a white plus and got it on 12/4.
