Picked this evening. Will drive it to Nairobi tomorrow. It's really low Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Thanks Posted via the PriusChat mobile app. I'm still learning how to drive a prii. Having come from an ordinary gas engine, I find the prii engine straining a lot once it's running. Is it normal? I'm yet to do the engine service on it Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
The engine will run at a higher speed, but the energy is split between charging the battery & running the wheels as needed by the transaxle.
Did a plug change today and the engine is now more responsive and smooth. Plugs were completely worn out and brown in colour. Should I go ahead and clean the egr pipe? Had seen a post here talking about it Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
My prii has a nice car stereo. The only challenge is that everything is in Japanese which I don't understand. Any assistance will be appreciated Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Every country has its own headunit. Here's the US one. 2010 Toyota Prius Owners Manual and Warranty - Toyota Owners The non-nav version (no LCD screen) is described in the regular owner's manual. If you have navigation, the audio is described in the navigation owner's manual. In Japan, most cars came with an AM/FM/CD unit with WMA/MP3 CD capability and 6-speakers (S, G, S Touring Selection and G Touring Selection). The optional unit was an AM/FM/6-Disc CD Changer/DVD/MD head unit with 6-speakers. These units also had an auxiliary 3.5mm audio input jack and USB plug with iPod connectivity (these two should be in the centre console bin, at the bottom). I can't read Japanese but if you post a photo of your radio head unit, at least we have an idea of what it is.
