Much to my chagrin, the premium and the advanced model does not have a cd player. With a large cd collection I am at a lost. Does anyone have a solution?

I do not know if they make a bluetooth CD external player .....
I recorded my favorite music on an iPod, but that entire family of devices will play music through the cars system.

BTW, The Prime does not have a 45 or 331/3 player either. LOL

Burn your CD collection onto your computer. Then transfer it to an mp3 player, smartphone or a USB stick. The car will play USB (up to 256 songs per folder) or an mp3 player (through the AUX jack) or an iPod (played through the USB port). If your mp3 player (incl. iPod) has bluetooth, you can pair it to the car and it will play wirelessly. Lastly, you can also transfer the songs to your smartphone (if you have the storage space) and play through your phone via Bluetooth, USB port (apple only) or AUX jack.

I bought a CD an hour ago. I'll rip it tomorrow in two forms - an mp3 and a disk image. The mp3s are for portable applications. I'll be putting all my mp3s on a tiny 64GB flash drive for my Prime.

The Chevrolet Sonic here was the first car without a factory CD player a few years ago. The RAV4 Hybrid Limited doesn't come with a CD player either (but the LE+ or XLE do)

It wasn't long ago when manufacturers were still reluctant to put a CD changer but by then, MP3 players (fueled by the iPod) took off so it made more sense to just put a single slot CD. Most cars after the mid 2000s (depending on model year change) and MP3/WMA CD capability so even with a single slot CD, you could have a lot of songs. BMW was one of the first to offer USB in their cars (3 series in 2005 as a 2006 model year in Canada).

Thanks @Lee Jay - my searching through the manual didn't turn up the HUD adjustment. It worked nicely.

    Really like:

Like a perfect landing in an airplane, I can barely feel the Hybrid Synergy Drive shifting from EV to ICE, even less than the Pip.

After 10 days of 99% EV driving, EV range has INCREASED to 30.2 miles; this in spite of running the climate control a few times.

    Quirks I'll get over:

Can't find a place where vehicle tracks kwh input during chg cycle like the pip had; was just used to keeping track of what the vehicle said, and the nice statistic of gallons of fuel saved by charge. Can only find a miles/kwh reading.
fwiw, i'm using a Clipper Creek LCS-25 240v EVSE hardwired into garage. If i used the 120v evse cable, could use the Kill-a-Watt meter to keep track.

Might have to get gas by St Patrick's Day.....

My wife was never comfortable with the driver's seat in 2014 PIP. She loves Prime's.

We are also happy with 30 plus indicated and actual EV range. While driving, I do not feel any heavier regen in Eco HV mode, but see that the car is increasing EV range not only during breaking but also at 60-65 mph HWY driving which never happend with 2014 PIP.

Do you know if the Prime Plus can play mp3/wma's on a USB stick? Toyota's sales description leaves this out for the Plus model. I'm hoping it's just an editorial error/omission.

I like the traction battery heater option that was not available on the 2012-2015 PIP's. Right about this time of the season I would have to drive about 25 MPH to keep the ICE from kicking in in my old PIP. Now I can accelerate quickly onto a 35 MPH road without the ICE kicking in. Also my range is around 25 miles without the heater on (22 miles with it on):D

That's not a bad drop considering. Let us know how it works with that big cold system you're getting over the next few days.

30 degrees outside. Drove to Kroger 2.7 miles away then to Suburban Toyota another mile. When I got home the EV range was at 12 miles, distance traveled 6.1 miles so 12 plus 6.1 is 18.1 miles range, that's with the climate control set at 74 degrees. ICE never came on.
