What he meant was the car icon with ev on it, not the EV mode indicator Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
insideevs say the ioniq has "full auto air conditioner/heat pump system" and "rear seat heating coil"
Unfortunately you can not pre-heat it if not plugged in,but if the cabin heats up as fast as said, pre-heat may not be needed ! I am hoping for similar performance considering the Prime ! You can download the Ioniq Electric manual here : Download 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Electric - Owner's Manual PDF (582 Pages)
The way I understood it,was that the engine takes 4-5 minutes before it produces any kind of warm air while the Prime's heat pump produces a good amount of warm air after 4-5 minutes . Doesn't sound as good as the Ioniq though....
Premium owner here. I couldn't justify the $4-5k difference, but the main reason is I didn't want too much tech. I have never even had push button start, and I didn't want to be overwhelmed. My wife won't even drive my Prime (fine by me!). The $1700 between plus and premium was worth it to me for the power/leather seats (esp. lumbar) and locking cable function. But the next jump was too steep for things that aren't that important to me because I have never had them. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I would have been fine with cloth. You lose lumbar, though. As it is, the seat supports only half my thighs. It's not super comfortable for me at 6'2" and with long femurs. I may keep it a year or so then re-sell, and try the sonata plug in. Mostly I needed a tax credit for 2016. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I'm currently looking for cloth seat covers to put over the Softex seats I'm going to buy. Bummer. Have to pay extra for Softex and then pay even more to cover it up.
Apparently it's improved over previous versions. Not sure how old you Lexus was. I still don't like it. Hot in the summer, slippery year-around.
