Can NOT be used, in order to connect it to 240VAC, the EVSE will have to be modified to accept such a voltage.
The company "EVSE Upgrade " is one solution.

You can supply 50A and it won't matter. In fact, if it's a 10A device, you should put it on a minimum 15A circuit, not 10A. The EVSE will draw the current it wants. More specifically, the charger inside the car will draw the current it wants through the EVSE.

What happens is that the car will communicate with the EVSE. The EVSE tells the car how much current the car can draw, and the car won't draw more than that amount. This includes voltage and amperage. The EVSE has internal protection circuitry in the event of an overload, but an overload won't occur.

The device is labeled 100 - 240V, unlike the American 110V only units.

The person asking the question included:
" i gave 2012 plug in from USA with own cable. on this cable written:
    input voltage: 110-120V 12A
    output voltage: 110-120V 12A
can i connect it in 220-230V soccet?
    "

    Is it clear enough .....:barefoot:

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. This thread began with someone who wanted to use a 240V UK EVSE here in the USA. Then someone with a 120V-only EVSE wanted to use it at 240V, which will only work if the EVSE is substantially modified.
