I've been in the Gen3 Prius and the seats are awful in them. I can get about 5 minutes, before I need to start shifting. The Lexus CT Fsport had better seats, but still not the greatest. How does the Prime compare?

Thought the Prime had lumbar support.

It does. The CT and Gen3 also has lumbar support also. The seats are just softer.

The Prime seats are very comfortable. In my Gen 2 Prius, I'd get about 2 to 3 hours of driving before I had to stop. I drove my new Prime from SoCal to home in NCal for 4 hours before needing a bio-break.

That's great to hear. Are they more firm like German makes? Or plushy soft like domestic vehicles? Do the seat warmers get really hot?

They're more like Euro seats than US. The seats in my Gen2 weren't electric and I couldn't find the "just right" spot. The Prime (I have the Advance model) electric seats are great since there are essentially and infinite number of "spots". Lumbar adjust is nice too. I have heard that the lumbar adjust hits some folks too high, but it's just right for me. Heated seats and steering wheel are great. I use those features to take the "chill" off in the morning as I start my commute to work.

I'm actually worried about the lumbar support since basically any lumbar support causes me back spasms. I've been in cars where even the minimum amount was still too much. Can the lumbar support be sucked in so far that you can't feel it at all?

Only the drivers seat has lumbar support. A fact that my wife constantly reminds me of. So, she got a pillow, now she's happy. 1100 mile round trip, much better on the way back.

The Prius v 2014 Gen 3 also has lumbar support for the driver only, but it does not help at all, as it's still the WORST car seat I've ever sat in.

This is such a personal issue. I hated the seat in my Gen2. I was convinced that the spot I needed was in between the "notches" in the mechanical seat back angle adjustment. In contrast, I am really pleased with the seat in my Prime. Very comfortable. On a recent 7 hour drive, it was great to be able to make a slight adjustment if I thought it was needed. Perhaps its just the infinite range of adjustments available with electric. If there is something to notice, the seat bottom is just an inch or so short for me. I would have preferred a longer one.

Very happy with the Prime seats. I'm 6', she's 5'6", and we both like the seats very much.
