i havent felt bullied, but that might be because I'm driving in a big city where people are uniformly crazy, but have no choice but to crawl along in gridlock no matter how big their vehicle. :)

I can't read all the comments right now but I read many. Some of you are hilarious. Seems I need to update:

I still consider buying this car a horrible decision, actually perhaps the worst financial decision of my adulthood. Which obviously has nothing to do with the prius c. I paid 22800 otd for a prius c two because I didnt talk the guy down one cent and I am pissed at myself. I bought a car I barely researched and test drove once at sticker price cause I was in a rush due to a car accident. Still my fault, I know. Think that has affected my like of the car if I am going to be honest.

BUT. I still dont like the car for other reasons. The lights annoy me, still, despite imrpovement with the tips you all gave. Hate that I have to flip my mirror. Drivers seat is uncomfortable. Hate where the drink cup is. The lil cubby parts are annoying, like in front of the wheel. What the hell do I put there? Cant find a seat cover to fit the weird seats. Steering wheel too small for a cover, apparently. Cant get used to the small inside. Obviously the mileage is great, that's all I love about it. It's still a cute car. I do like the inside color of seats and dashboard.

So, I will admit something. 1st off, prius bullying is still an issue. I still notice a difference in treatment by other cars. I get cut off and pushed aside way more. Especially suvs and trucks. However, it decreased. Ya know why? Cause I turned off my damn brights. My brights were on (or so I think, lil green sign that looks like a ring). People are aggressive about brights I guess. And I took some advice on here too. Drive the speed limit, move over and dont engage. Which is usually not me, but I can't win every battle.

I went to carrmax and they offered me 13500 (and I am not sure if the guy damaged my ignition..) I am stuck with this car for 2 yrs min unless I private sell. I will see if it improves. I know you guys love your prius c so I am not here to shit on it, just fyi. Just my experience so far. Thanks for the help.

The small green ring symbol is brights? I thought it was just normal headlights... I've been driving at night with the green symbol on for a whole year. What is going? Who is the real hero? Btw welcome back lively essence missed you #priusbro

People are jerks. That isn't going to change. I first noticed feeling like a rabbit in a pack of coyotes when I first got my CRX. I felt tiny and unprotected. I got used to it. For some reason my C's rear glass acts like a magnifier and cars/trucks seem a lot closer than they really are.

As long as you aren't being a slow jerk and making the entire world go around you, the fast jerks will eventually go around and get up behind the next person in their way. If you want to hurry them on, drop your speed a mph or two. They'll get itchy and go around sooner. Then get back up to speed.

Small cars take some getting used to, but the anxiety will go away after a time. Unless, that is, you're naturally anxious, in which case there's little that can be done.

Yeah, it's definitely a whole different world when you're driving a Prius! I still get tailgated a lot, and I'm going 8 to 10 mph over the speed limit! Like you said, some people are just jerks and it's not going to change anytime soon. They take on a whole nother persona when they get behind the wheel of a car.

I got to thinking, it my Prius that bugs so many people????

  7. 1. Get HD night-vision glasses. (It's actually not hyphenated but the forums keep putting spam in my post whenever I write "night vision.") They're a small price for an awesome convenience. You're going to experience "blinding lights" with any low-profile vehicle in traffic. Having these glasses will reduce piercing bright car lights.
    2. Use night mode on the rear view mirror even in the daytime (if it's allowed and safe to do where you travel).

Get a cheap seat-cover (hyphenated again because the forum keeps putting spam in my post) and put a pillow between it and the seat, so that you will have lower back support.

It's a compact city car, so the slots (including cup holders) are small and not adjustable. You could put a pair of HD night-vision glasses there.

Leather cover for your wheel will get very sticky for three months during your northern Ohio summers. Better stick with the default plastic, or if you want, order one of these.

    1. Oh well. My experience, 90% of the time, I have a strict adherence to the speed limit and I get tailgated a lot for it. Too bad the world does not revolve around speeders. I can dial 911 on them if it's more than just a beep and a finger to my back bumper.
    2. When I had my old 4x4, I was on a 25 mph road and some redneck in a pickup wanted to run me off the road... I made an exception and sped up to 40 mph... said redneck kept tailgating, and eventually I let him pass and he did 45 mph. I said, "Never again." You're not going to make them happy by speeding. Don't risk a ticket.

Honestly the regular lights on my old 4x4 are nearly the same as the brights on this hybrid. I would prefer to have the brights on all the time so that I can see where I am going at night, especially to avoid a deer.

Most of your continued concerns (lights, wheel, seats, small compartments) would carry over to many other modern small cars. You have a car that you can customize, so make it work for you, for a long time, it's yours, so live it in a little. And again, get night glasses.

I must try the night glasses. Did someone post that polarizing lenses impair vision of display screens? Can you see screens ok with them on? E.g Phone screen for Satnav as well as the Prius screens?

I wear polarized sunglasses, cheap ones but they're polarized. I can see all the screens just fine.

The mirror is freaken annoying especially if your used to auto-dimming ones. I'd suggest asking Toyota about an auto-dimming mirror for your Prius C. Should be a couple hundred bucks but if it bugs you that much it may be worth it. As for seat covers and steering wheel covers I'd check eBay. Considering this car is pretty popular overseas I bet there are a few companies who make custom seat covers and even a steering wheel cover. I'd say hold on to it and learn to love it. They're are much more expensive cars who don't deliver any better on the bad spots this car has.
