I'd like to add an Aux-In to my Classic. Does anyone know what options are currently available? Are there any plans online to solder your own input board? I'm not even opposed to adding an amplifier if need be.
Not sure if you can still get a DICE I-Toyota-R these days, but that's what I put in my Gen 1 back in the day, provided an aux in and also an iPod interface. I had to make a few mods to the wire harness that came with it, described in this thread. Keep reading the thread down to the post that says SUCCESS. Hope that helps, -Chap
Connecting an Ipod or Iphone to my 2003 Prius - All It's all there. Doesn't need to be an Iphone or Ipod, even. I guess I'd just add a USB port instead of all the goofy power stuff. It would be nice to disassemble the radio itself and solder the aux to the cassette input on the main board. Never use the cassette, ever. I don't even own any cassettes. Too much disassembling for me, tho. A little comment, even my 01 Taurus has a standard CD player. Cassettes were already dead when Toyota spec'd these radios. What the heck were they thinking? would have been nice if they'd used a standard 1 din radio, too. Proprietary radios are just plain stupid.
Has anyone installed the WT-AUX found all over eBay? or the PA20-TOY? Is the 3.5mm Input Pre-Amped (Line Level)? I'm assuming not. Anyone know of any online videos showing the menu navigation? I have the 6-Disc Changer and factory nav installed currently. Ideally, I would like the Navigation to still be able to interrupt the music.
