Well after a year of guessing whether the Two Eco has a special windshield, it's finally explicitly mentioned in the press release for 2017.

Here's the rest of the press release

Here's the link, which I presume has a time limit and may be broken in a few years

Hopefully, the Thermo-Tec Lime Green paint isn't too far behind.

Yes, I'm 99% sure it's part of the heater core assembly, which is part number 87107-47080 for all of them.

And, in fact, every Prius has had it. Even NHW10 and NHW11 have a "quick heater" assembly, which is PTC ceramic heaters.

    Did anyone else notice this?

***Automatic headlamp leveling keeps the beams focused on the road and helps prevent blinding drivers in oncoming vehicles.

Is that "automatic leveling" omething new for all models in 2017? Toyota must have listened to the complaints.

***Toyota, though, went above and beyond to make the current Prius exceptionally quiet on the road. A sound-insulating laminated windshield and numerous sound absorbers in the dash structure reduce noise intrusion. Higher-grade models feature sound-insulating laminated front door glass, as well. The carpeting is backed by a thick silencer pad, and a urethane-based headliner, along with the ribbed structure of the front pillar trim, helps absorb sound.

This part: "higher-grade models get sound-insulating laminated front door glass, as well." I believe that feature should be on all Prius models. I get a significant amount of noise through my door glass. And I think the "numerous sound absorbers in the dash structure" are missing in my Three model. Excessive cabin noise, has been my number one complaint since day one.

Here's the line from the 2016 press release:

So, there'll be a baseline adjustment, and then the leveling will be to adapt to suspension loading differences.

"labyrinth-style clips in the door drain holes prevent sound from intruding yet still facilitate drainage."

That's very interesting. So now we know what those clips are for on the bottom of the doors. (The clips that fall off... but we won't mention that. :D)

    Baseline adjustment is probably wrong.

And why does only the ECO model get the heat-insulating windshield glass.
Don't the rest of us get hot, too?

UK models didn't have any quick heater assembly AFAIK. Wonder whether UK Gen4s have this.

We have a "Fast" setting on the heater so I'd guess we do have it.

I think they all have it . Except the 2 trim .
To ease the load on the climate control system, the 2016 Prius comes with a heat-insulating windshield in the Eco trim to ensure that infrared ray transmission is reduced and the cabin is comfortable in hot weather. A positive temperature coefficient ceramic heater warms the cabin quickly without relying on the engine coolant to get up to temperature.

It is hard to notice the PTC heater. It's pretty low power. Falls flat on its face here in Edmonton when it's -20C. ;)
I did notice it one day when it was +10C.
