Or are they just so popular that they fly off the lot? I may have to buy the Prius Three just to get the white / moonstone color combo, but I don't want to pay extra for the Qi Charger or the entune nonsense.
…only just last week I received a note from the local Toyota Dealer making me an offer for my 2009 Gen II, saying that the Gen II was in great demand but short supply, and would I like to consider trading mine in for something new? (…and shiny, and sparkly, and full of useless gadgets etc. etc.) …yawn!
In the Baltimore MD area 2's are beyond plentiful. I saw a dealer yesterday that had 40 Prii on the lot and almost all were 2's. What we cannot get around here are 4's or any touring models. J
Not sure what country you are in. At that age of vehicle, you might have a better chance with private buyers. Here in Australia, the trade-in value of a car say 10 yrs old is quite low, and the older the car the more people who don't trade but sell privately. In the whole of Australia, there are only 30 Gen 2s in dealerships but 47 advertised privately on "CarSales", the biggest car sales website.
I don't think she's talking about gen 2s but gen 4 two model. Our local dealer has 5 twos out of 11 total Prii in stock. There is no shortage in my neck of the woods.
It was my assumption that Prius II's are mainly fleet cars and taxis. Many utilities are using them now. Bill the Engineer
Prius II are ridiculously abundant around here. IV's however are hard to come by. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
