Possibly, additional space may be needed for extra cooling ducts, fans, larger HV cables, charger parts, etc compared to the Gen4 (or 3 or 2).
There are three air vents for the battery to breathe with. One each side and one center in the footwell.
Excellent drawing. I think we need the A C and D measurements. B - to the glass - is not safe to pack hard items in contact with the glass. That last inch or so is not really usable unless you're packing pillows. But if others want the B measure, that's fine as long as we all know which it is. I would also like to see an A2 measurement at the back end of the cargo area (closest to the hatch) as that is the smallest height to fit something into.
I ran to a dealership yesterday. The B is 22 inches (from floor to the glass if you close the hatch). B tapers to 18 inches at the end of the dome when the hatch is closed. Thus it is possible to fit a box under the hatch by getting rid of the pull cover but be careful of the glass. C and D are very similar. The ingress at both sides is tiny compared to my 07 prius. The trunk is shallower by 1 inch (34 inches) than my 07 prius. A costco 24-bottle arrow spring water is a tight fit under the pull cover (9 inches tall) but if you are willing to, a box is possible.
But Art, I'm still waiting to hear your subjective opinion of the 'ownership experience'. Is it everything you hoped for? What is it like to drive? Aside from the infotainment system, is there anything you don't like? How is the audio? Seating comfort? (I know that's subjective). To paraphrase Bernie, enough with the damn measurements. What's it like?
They came with the model that was available first so I got them. However I would have chosen them anyways. Makes the car look more like a Lexus.
Using the photo Lee Jay posted, here's the Gen 4 with my measurements from the other thread so that we can quickly compare when someone uploads the Prime.
