Footwell lighting?

    There has been no mention about footwell lighting or interior lighting. Does anyone know if this is built in?

    No footwell lighting and the passenger seat is manual. Only the driver has a powerseat

    This is different from the regular Prius then? I saw some red footwell lighting in that car.

    might depend on the package. what about theatre lighting, and turning on as you approach car with fob?

    What is theater lighting? I don't recall if it has the proximity sensor light from the fob. I would imagine it does. Maybe light from under the foldable side mirrors?

    the lights come on dim and get brighter over a second or two.

    It's not explicitly mentioned like it was in the past but it's part of the "remote illuminated entry" in the brochure (it's in the same like as the 3-door Smart Key System)

    I don't know about US models but European models only turn on footwell lighting when headlights are turned on .

    I'm just interested for brighter interior lighting since I drive in the dark often. A lighter cabin is easier on the eyes.

    At night, I can barely see the dim orange footwell bulbs in my '16 regular Prius.

    Old eyes? Weak bulbs? Or both? They are pretty useless.

    They're pretty dim in the Gen 3 as well. The idea is that they're just ambient light when the car is in Drive. When in Park, they brightened up as part of the illuminated entry function.
