I have a new 2016 Prius road trip video. If you are only interested in the mileage screen info you can skip to near the end where I show those screens. I did get slightly better mpg than the last trip to that National Park.
Thanks for watching. I just got back from a Prius car camping trip. I'll start uploading in a week or so first a video showing how I set up the 2016 Prius for camping. It will be interesting to see. I tried to stay in my Prius 14 once over night and it was interesting experience. It just proved to me that, if needed, I could easily spend a night and not to worry if its too hot or cold outside.
I am so impressed with your videos. I want to try camping in my 2015 Prius Two, but I hesitate because of the low ground clearance. I watched you video on that topic. What kind of damage could happen from driving on a dirt road? Even if I am very careful, it is hard to conceive that eventually a rock could cause an expensive repair.
I guess if it is a hard dirt road with no big rocks or ruts (holes) and it is not flooded it would probably be ok. But you would have to be the judge of that as you drive it. I'm not a mechanic but I think expensive damage can be done if some object, rock or other objects are large enough to hit the underside of the car. Off road vehicles have protection plates covering sensative areas. Your question would best be answered by a mechanic or someone on this site that know what can be damaged.
