my name is Dave. I have been an auto enthusiast my entire life. I have spent time drag racing and auto crossing. I have owned a wide variety of different vehicles, actually totaling over 100. Currently own 5 vehicles with 2 drivers(wife and me). They are: 2005 PT Cruiser turbo convertible 2009 Suzuki SX4 AWD 2013 smart for two iceshine special edition 2016 Jeep Compass(this one is a 2 year lease) AND My newly purchased 2014 Prius "C" Two. Picked it up form Carvana. 22K miles, still under factory 3/36 for another year. The thing is immaculate. Paid $13K for it which i thought was a fair deal. They even delivered it to my house on a flatbed. Although i am still a fan of high performance cars, and have owned, driven , and raced muscle cars in the past, these days i lean more toward economy, and trying to do as little damage to our planet as possible. I have a LOT to learn about this wonderful new machine i bought, but i will learn. This and the smart will be our two daily drivers. The smart easily averages 42-45 MPG on my wifes commute. I am anxious to see what the new Prius(sparky) will be capable of doing.
Welcome! And after you have driven the Prius a few weeks, a comparison with your other cars would be interesting. (After driving a Smart in Germany, I wondered why there was no attempt to hybridize that one on Mercedes' part.) PS: Earth thanks you for your concern!
Welcome! Very unique line up of cars. Sorta the red head step children! The Prius c is a solid vehicle, enjoy!
Thanks. Yes, i have always preferred the more unusual and/or less popular vehicles. Boring silver Hondas are forever banned from my garage! The PT is a great summer cruiser, and with the turbo it has great power. The Jeep and Suzuki are our winter vehicles.
I agree totally! Came from a 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP premium fuel only and paying 3$ a gallon in TN was killing me. So swapped it out for a 2013 PIP and had it for last Monday and its still setting on a full take from dealer i feel like i might only have to fill up once every 2 months now. Was feeling up the Sol up ever 3 weeks? So a full tank in the PIP should last maybe a Month or a Month and 1/2?..... lol
