    The Hokie Bird is the mascot of Virginia Tech. We were the Fighting Gobblers forever...and then there was a cheer that involves "Hokie Hokie Hokie Hi." Official Story I see you are not a football fan larkinmj.

    A Hokie? A magnificent example of a college mascot.

    The Virginia Tech Hokies. My alma mater.

    A Hokie, frankly, is nothing at all but a cheer some guy made up a hundred years ago. But, we used to be the Fighting Gobblers, so our mascot became the Hokie Bird, which is a gigantic maroon and orange turkey.

    Man...I forgot to take pictures of my car in front of a campus landmark or two while I was at VT for formals and to get the clear bra put on. I kept it relatively protected considering I was staying in the largest all-male dorm on the East Coast :wub:

    A mission for my July trip...if I drive...

    I just have memories of wading through six inches of detritus in Pritchard hallways...beer cans...leaves...papers, etc. And memories of people pushing couches out the windows into the pit.

    Sorry if this has been mentioned, but a search didn't turn up anything...

    The San Diego Toyota dealers are a sponsor of the Padres broadcasts and are running a series of hybrid commercials which are reminiscent of Apple's switch commercials. Just a presumptive owner saying nice things about their hybrid toyota. Well anyway, the Prius version features a young blonde woman standing beside her black prius. Although not as ditsy as Ellen Feiss, it was cool.
