Minneapolis Meet...

Would there be enough interest to do a Prius meetup in the twin cities area? Any and all Prius drivers and enthusiasts would be welcome... what do you think?

We had our first meet and it was a success! We had a great time, good food and conversation. We have decided to do monthly meets on the first Thursday of each month. I also started a website to keep everyone on the same page with info for the next meet, and to help spread the word locally. How about Carbone's Pizza & Pub on Cedar & 47th St? The address is 4705 Cedar Ave S. Minneapolis, 55407 I propose Thursday nights at 6pm. Carbone's has a nice size parking lot there, so we should all be able to park in a nice row, plus it's a pretty central location. If no one has any objections or alternate suggestions, lets do this thing!

So unless the plan changes, I'm going to kick this off at Carbone's on Cedar, Thursday 9/29 at 6pm out in the parking lot with my Habanero C, so I should be easy to spot.

Ok, so this is the second person that's seriously interested but can't make it this Thursday, but is good with Thursdays in general. So my thought is that I'm still going to be at Carbone's on Cedar this Thursday 9/29 @ 6pm and hope to see at least a couple folks there for a soft start to get this rolling along, then hopefully have even more people the following week. At first let's make this a weekly meet each Thursday, then once it gets going we can change to biweekly or monthly, whatever works best for the group.

Dang, I'm sorry man! We usually congregate outside near the cars or near the entry way and get a table once everyone arrives. I was standing out by my Orange Prius C from about 5:45 till 6:30, two other guys showed up right around 6 and we chatted in the parking lot near our cars until about 6:30, then we thought we were it, so we spontaneously went to a diff place to eat. We looked into the entrance before we left and didn't see anyone waiting inside. My sincere apologies for not going in and putting the group name down, I'll do that next time! It's just hard because the group is so young I don't know how many to expect, so we all meet up in the parking lot before we go in. Again I'm so sorry we missed you! Next time def look for my orange and black C and / or other Prius cars parked near each other, we'll usually be close by until at least quarter after 6, if it's later than that we might already be inside.
