So, I am looking for a new Prius, and my first. Whats up with the two tone interior? That white is awful to me. Is that a special package? Can I get a Prius 4 touring with black interior?
There are 3 available interior colours and they vary with the choice of exterior colour Harvest Beige and Moonstone are the 2 two-tone interiors (beige/black and white/black respectively). Black is the 3rd option. You can get a Four Touring with black interior. A black interior with the Touring model will throw in blue contrast stitching.
Check out the configuration tool on the Toyota website to see all the colors and options. I played with it a lot before I made a decision on what I wanted. I'd been driving an all black interior car for years so I did go for the moonstone interior. I like it a lot.
Some people don't like the reflection in the windows. I find it less obnoxious than the black reflections of the air vents and HUD display.
The white - after my initial uncertainty - is great. It's the piano black which gets dusty within a nano-hour of dusting it (and I should have known that - I've got a 7'6" black piano to dust too).
It always makes me laugh. I have the moonstone interior and love it. I love the white cup holders and two tone dash and door panels. To each their own. I think my car looks cool as hell! My kids do too! iPhone ?
Lots of 2016's out there w/ the moonstone interior on dealer lots, so it appears that most buyers agree with you. I only was going to by a prius w/ the black interior and had to travel a bit to find one. I test drove a white w/ moonstone insterior Eco, and the moonstone looks better in person than it pics. Moonstone is very well suited to a blizzard white prius... I *might* have considered the white/moonstone interior had I not found my blue crush/black eco.
The seats I could live with, but that white dash. No way! Too much reflection in the windshield, says a couple Prius drivers that I talked too lately.
I actually like the two tone. I think it gives it a more luxurious feel when I drive it. I was used to all black interior, and now I think it's just plane. The two tone makes me feel like driving with my pinky up. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
The most obnoxious reflection in the wind shield is that from the frames around the vents and HUD. Those are in black. The front half of the dash is black in all trims. I do have the moonstone interior. The white is reflected up high on the windscreen where the tinting used to go and happens only during the noon hour. Since I got the car, I haven't even noticed it. The more prominent reflection from the light interior is on the side windows. It bothered me at first, but I haven't noticed it for weeks.
