Have you ever used NFC as an extra key for the car or operate the audio system or anything else? How did you set it up?
I don't think it's possible. The only connection from Prius to phone is via bluetooth, and that's for "wireless headset" or audio (play songs from your phone). The car doesn't have NFC capability.
Are there any cars with this capability? I've heard some manufacturers are working on it but I don't know of any cars out yet with that. I know Teslas have the ability to use your phone through the internet to unlock the car but doesn't use NFC.
I installed an nfc sticker/tag in my rav4, I set it as a Wi-Fi hotspot trigger. When ever I get in to drive I just tap my phone to the sticker and it enabled my phone's hotspot. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
