Super White might be listed in some release as a fleet order option

Hi all. On Colors - I had two previous silvers (2006 and 2011). My 2016 is white -- "blizzard pearl" in Toyota parlance. The color has grown on me in the three months I've owned it. My package came with the 17" wheels which is sharper-looking than the stock wheels.

I didn't buy it for the color. It was the only AT-PZEV package when I was shopping. Truly a great vehicle in all aspects.

Bland colors for a boring car. Fitting.

The more boring the car, the better. Blow-outs are exciting. Blown engines are exciting. Exciting cars will get you pulled over, arrested or killed. Or worse, someone else killed.

I'll take the boring-but-comfortable 147,000 miles on my 2004 without any unplanned maintenance any time.

Yes. I understand that Blue Magnetism is a forward-looking colour (it's trying to be trendy, ahead of its time). It colour shifts depending on lighting conditions and blue is the new green apparently (well it has been for a while, hence the Clearwater Metallic for the PiP).

I don't think a dark green will work in this case for either Prius design Galactica Aqua Mica or Cosmic Grey Mica would work. Both colours are blue/green/black depending on lighting conditions. Otherwise, I'm struggling to think of a reasonable green for the Prime. They may go for a light green not unlike Sea Glass Pearl. A deep/medium blue may work too like this one

    Or MotorTrend did a rendering

An earthy colour may also work.

Pyrite Mica (last gen RAV4) or Toasted Walnut Pearl (Prius v).

The gen1 had light blue/green shifting color. I kinda take such a color as a Prius signature.
Black Cherry on the Corolla might work, but browns seem to be coming back. I'm partial to them because of my first car.

Toyota historically had limited color choices. That might be changing from what I saw for the Corolla and Camry. We don't need the 16 color choices that the Fiat 500 has, but a couple more could help make the car more appealing.

Just more fodder for Blue Magnetism. Again, it's one of those new colours that change depending on lighting and viewing angle. You can see it in this photo ranging from metallic bright blue near the corner of the bumper to medium blue at the top of the hood on the right side of the picture (possibly a purple tinge but I can't tell if it's my monitor or the photo). The colour near the corner of the bumper is close to what the colour is in the sunlight in real life.

As of this post, here are the results...

    #1 Blue Magnetism
    #2 Hypersonic Red

    #3 Titanium Glow

#4 Tied: Classic Silver / Blizzard White
    #6 Magnetic Gray
    #7 Super White

Interesting how actual colors have taken the top 2 or 3 spots, while the 50 shades of gray are all last. I wonder if Toyota did any market research. Or maybe they did, in Japan, and they applied it the the world, you know, that new global architecture. Trouble is, different markets are different. I'm starting to think TNGA might start their downfall if they don't adapt to different markets.

(I'm not sure if titanium glow is a shade of gray, I need to see it IRL)

I like red for a car but it is so hard to keep clean. Silver just works better.

And silver is the one most likely to fade into the background, and not be seen by another driver.

Which tends to raise insurance rates. In addition to the actual chance of having a collision.

Titanium Glow is very interesting, it seems to change hues quite a bit depending on lighting.
This one (if it is the Titanium Glow) is quite different than the photos in post #5, and shows the changing hue quite well.

Is it? I don't think so, Magnetic grey is much darker, and it is grey.

    It's Classic Silver Metallic.

The 3 colours used in the photo shoots were Magnetic Grey, Classic Silver and Blue Magnetism.

I think AI9 is answering the poll - they like Magnetic Grey.

Yeah, there's bright white "studio" light to the right of the camera (you can see the reflection of the rearview mirror on the right front seat headrest). That's giving you the "white" looking part of the photo. The left side with the more yellow hue, is the setting sun.

Here's the rest of the album (the silver car starts about halfway down the page)

Anyone interested in which colours are most PRACTICAL?

The ones that stay looking clean longer and keep the cabin cooler?

The special lime green paint according to Toyota is only special in that it reflects heat almost as well as white, but is green.

White on a Gen4 in the UK is the only colour that doesn't cost extra, but it probably looks dirty very quickly.

So I want a colour that stays clean looking, reflects heat, and preferably is fairly visible to other motorists, and ideally doesn't show damage marks too badly. A light silver colour perhaps.

Anyone else interested in these more practical aspects of colour?

Silver is easier to keep clean and will show wear less easily. And I think it looks cool. I usually flip from red to silver each time I trade. It is silver's tern.
