Aftermarket wireless HUD for Google maps

    Hi. New Gen IV 2016 Proud Prius owner, now for some context: I am looking into using my car part time for either Uber or Lyft and thought that a HUD that can connect wirelessly to my smart phone, which would remain charging in my qi pad would be a great idea.

    Does anyone know of any good aftermarket HUDS that can integrate wirelessly with any android phone and can project turn by turn signals for Google maps? I saw navdy and carloudy but they don't seem available for purchase.

    Apologies for the winded question but I thought the context would help.

    What's wrong or what specifically are you looking for that the stock HUD turn by turn signals doesn't have or meet your needs?

    for some more context I did not purchase ATP so I don't have a built in HUD in my car.

    Also I wanted to know if there was an aftermarket HUD that anyone has used that connects wirelessly my smart phone and through which I can access Google maps (my preferred navigation model)

    Has anyone had luck with this type of aftermarket HUD?

    I want to be able to keep my phone in the qi wireless charging pod while the HUD displays the turn by turn signals from Google maps if that makes sense.

    One thing to consider is local regulations/policy re: phone mounts. In my ride share market, it is illegal to operate without a phone mount and also against Lyft/Uber's policy. I doubt you're going to find any suitable product that will allow you to use not only google maps but the Lyft/Uber apps as well.

    I'd recommend a vent-based phone mount (the one in the PC store looks good) and hook it up onto the left middle vent.

    I've actually been looking at a Proclip. Do you use yours in drivers side vent or passenger? I'd like to get one but put it on passenger side so the vent isn't blowing on the phone. How well does it work over there-still easily visible? Or angled too far to be legible and accessible?

    Got me an Ikross tablet/phone holder for cup mount from Amazon UK. All I need now is the Prius to go with it! :whistle:

    Check out the Hudway system ;) it was a Kickstarter that I just got in. So far pretty cool
