Aftermarket antennas with a Pioneer AVH-X3800-BHS

    I recently replaced my OEM radio for a Pioneer AVH-X3800-BHS and it seems the FM reception is just as bad or worse than with the original unit... Has anyone tried using and after market antenna such as
    IMG_5665.JPG or IMG_5666.JPG or IMG_5667.JPG

    or any aftermarket add on to help reception. It really sucks when you have an HD radio and it barely switches to HD because of crappy reception and i know its not the head unit because I have the exact same one on my Ford Excursion and it works flawless..

    Prii FM reception it is notable for very bad reception and worst in fringe areas

    I ended up buying all 3 antennas and I even bought this metra adapter

    to experiment maybe try running 2 at the same time who knows,, next week I'm on vacation and will be experimenting a bit..
