I'm posting here cause there is more action . I'll be buying my second set of tires. I wore out the original OEM Michelin tires and the second set of michelin is getting down to 4/32 -5/32. So getting ready for 3rd set . Trying to decide do I put back the OEM Michelin primacy which tire rack has a Honda tread pattern on for sale for $115 or would I get more out of trying the bridgestone ecopia ep422 which have a 640 rating vs the Michelin 500 rating . I see a continental true contact with an 800 rating for $124 And thoughts? Replaced my first set at 68k miles and just hit 120k and will probably swap tires out at next oil change
And what car? I'm leaning towards Primacy right now for third gen Prius in 215/45R17 size. The Ecopia EP422 Plus was attracting me, but the multiple iterations of this tire, with different tread pattern, different wear index, has me frustrated/confused.
I put these ones on this morning - impressions to follow. www.eiretyres.com/product/Goodyear/45/17/R-234564
I just ordered the Michelin premier AS , suppose to be the best non lrr out there. the ecopia was a mixed bag in the winter. I'm in the northeast, not messing with a mixed winter. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
