my brother rent a 2016 Kia Cerato, i had the chance to drive it for good distance. i have notice the following two issues: 1- it is smother than my Prius on road holes. 2- it has better headlights coverage. i mean when i turn the headlights it has stronger light and more area covered. My prius is 2014 (38000 Miles). any suggestions?
Different tuning of spring rates, damping, and anti-roll bars? Both cars have similar suspension concepts - MacPherson struts up front, torsion beam in rear.
I don't recall the Gen 3 Priuses I've driven to be uncomfortable over potholes. The Gen 4 that I own has a different suspension design, and is tuned to be firmer (although I also don't find it objectionable over potholes), so it's not comparable.
low rolling resistance tyres are not designed for comfort. everything about prius is designed for efficiency. get new tyres, or at least make sure yours are inflated correctly. beyond that, you will have to look into softer shocks and springs i suppose.
