Prius 2012 Inverter DC Error Code P0A94

    I am newbie here.
    (first of all Pardon my English skills)
    I own a 3rd Gen Prius 2012 Japanese version
    I am 2nd owner of the car and imported this last year from Japan with the mileage of 80K.
    I do all maintenance regularly and enjoying the drive too,
    After owning car for about 22 months couple of days ago suddenly car had a warning message of "Stop the car in a safe place and check hybrid system" in addition to this warning light of Check Engine+Brakes + Traction Control +Yellow Triangle.
    Car was in driving condition with gasoline engine.
    I took it to the Toyota Workshop .
    Techstream Displayed the code P0A94.
    Mechanic removed the fuse of HV Batteries.
    Removed the grip from Inverter for sometime and re fixed that.
    Checked all the fuses,
    Changed the 12 volt battery too
    Tried to clear code while driving the car.
    In the end he said now the error code be cleared after installing new Inverter Unit (Cost around 1000 US $)
    My Question to experts is one is he saying right.Or there can be any other solution to that as well.
    And 2nd question after installing new Inverter unit the cause to get fault will not be found so how to find that.

    You are facing the now common " Power Inverter failure".
    There is a parts Kit for this repair.
    In the USA and Canada this type of repair is covered by manufacturer's warranty.
    You should check locally to see if the vehicle will be cover for this infamous failure.

    Dear Brother (Rabbera),
    I am facing exactly the same problem as you.. for last couple of days.
    Did you find any solution?
    Please respond.. I contacted Mr. Faisal an electrician at Khan Motors Karachi, he is suggesting a solution to replace the Sensor Battery Voltage 89892 - 47020 .. *(Photo Attached.)

    In my Prius we have found that one of the Boost Coverter Diode is burned out.. The fault was discovered after opening all the the circuits of Power Inverter.

    welcome! congrats on discovering the problem. that may have been a recall situation here, i'm not sure.
