620 miles actually, with 1.5 gallons to spare. Could have made 700 miles, but had no way of knowing how much was actually left without adding fuel. Averaged 55 mpg with no A/C use which is my highest recorded so far. This was mostly at medium speed without excess accessory use or speed which I've learned is the mpg killer. On the tank afterwards, it went right back to 45 mpg, high speed freeway sucks it all right back. 35-55 mph really seems to be the sweet spot.
I get consistently get near 60 MPGs on every 6 gallon fill up as I average around 57-58 MPGs calculated by hand around 345-351 miles. I always fill up at the two bar mark and put 6 gallons in each time. That's including mostly city driving and Hwy driving. I get 50 MPGs all highway driving.
What is your max cruising speed? I can get 50-60 mpg tailing semis, but they rarely exceed 70 and the rest of traffic goes faster. Going long distances at 80 mph or more takes about 20% off the optimal mpg.
Well yeah I can get that kind of mileage driving at those speeds. Its just not feasible to drive that slow over long distances, when a 10 or 20 mph difference saves hours of travel time.
