I had the car on accessory mode. The mode that powers the radio, 12 volt outlets. About 10 minutes later the display says something to the effect it is shutting down the mode. Nice feature as we all know you leave things on and come back to find a dead battery. So what other features, if any time out? Do the interior lights go off?
Interior lights, vanity lights 20 mins. It also says that exterior lights are similar, however the 20 mins starts counting down again if either a door is opened or closed or the headlight switch is operated. I'm not sure whether you can keep the parking (you might call them position or side) lights on for longer than that in a remote dark location? Mine turn off after a minute or so, but I haven't investigated if you can override it.
Good news, the car should shut ever thing down. My brother left his hybrid highlander running overnight a lot of times. Does the 2016 shutdown the running car down, if in park after some period of time?
When I left my car on accidentally the other day for about 8 hrs, my headlights stayed on, which is why my neighbor alerted me.
