So, this guy owns a distribution company of some kind. He is based out of Orlando, but has a warehouse out here in Jacksonville, Fl. Several different drivers use this trailer, mostly cargo vans. But the guy tows about 2000lbs of stuff from Jacksonville, FL to NC multiple times a week. Driver said she does 73mph. She only gets about 25mpg. But still... I had to share this. Seeing as it's a gen 3 and can't be more than 6-7 years old, that might say something about whether time or miles are worse for traction batteries
Super high miles driver, 2Fas4U, is also out of Florida. IIRC, he delivers "medical supplies" and this guy in the OP has a distribution network. Umm, I'm beginning to get a little suspicious......
Funny you say that. I cannot comment on what he specifically distributes, but you are on the right track. He also distributes other things like office supplies. Small world. The company I work for sells him stretch film, seals and plastic strapping. I think he should get a Transit Connect, something that is made to do what he does. He would have more capacity and get about the same mileage on the road. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Seriously... I'm on pace to put 23K Miles during the first year (in couple more weeks) of owning my Prius, with plans on driving 20K+ Miles every year, seeing something like this does give me some piece of mind about the reliability of these cars... If age is more of a factor, then I probably won't have to worry about my high mileage for awhile.
