Interesting trip today with my Nav. On a 400+ mile round trip, it tried rerouting me numerous times due to "heavy rain". That was odd enough in itself. But what was startling is that twice when I ignored it's directions to exit the interstate, it tried to navigate me to turn onto the next interstate on ramp! I've never had any navigation unit, free standing, in car, cellphone or otherwise direct me to drive the wrong direction on a one-way interstate ramp! Looks like I'll be sticking to Google Maps. Sad, because I was really looking forward to freeing my phone from nav duties. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Has anyone else had their Nav try to route them to exit the interstate via the interstate ON ramp? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I've always used Google Maps or Waze as well but was really looking forward to using the built in nav. I'm sure it's slightly outdated, but the map route it was showing clearly mapped out clearly showed exiting the interstate via the on ramps (after rerouting because I ignored the offramp suggestion) Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I have never had the in dash nav work for me. I have tried several times. It want to drive me to CT whenever I ask it verbally for directions. And it will NOT stop redirecting me to Connecticut until the car is shut off! I gave up. It's useless. I usually use WAZE which is pretty good, although it has guided me to go the wrong way on a one way street a few times. So much for self-driving cars. You can't be asleep at the wheel.
