They should have made rear sway bars standard equipment on the Prius. That's how much they improve handling and stability.

I read a lot of mixed reviews, but after talking with the guys at the tire shop they said to give it a shot, if I don't like it they said they would take out it out.

Do you have the stock springs as well or did you do more than the SB?

SFV41901....you know how much I love modding my Prius...even with air my car feels tighter..just how much difference in comfort will a rear sway bar change the drive....?..I know the sway bar reduces roll on turns...but what happens to your car when your driving straight and what happens to the rigidity of your car over bumps...less flex means more road feel right?

I'm only going to install the SB, I am fine with the current height and ride and stiffness, etc..

I've so far now have put 184 miles on the new MXM4's and I'm telling you I am not liking them at all.. While the car is quieter and the ride smoother, the mpg drop is a little ridiculous, I know the tires have a break in period but geez; no matter what I did I couldn't get it over 42 mpg.. I'm use to getting at worse 44 best 53 with my old Toyos especially at expressway speeds. I was hurting in the high 30's this weekend. Any one else experience an issue?

Other than that today I attempted to install Lexus NX pedals seeing aluminum pedals are no longer avail for our gen Prius, well not a good set anyway.

I will keep everyone posted on this mod..

I don't have the exact number at my fingertips, but Hotchkis quotes a specific increase in spring rate when installing their rear bar. In my opinion, the combination of mods I installed - springs, sway bars and strut tower brace - has not degraded the ride of my car. It handles better, feels tighter and yet the ride is still very comfortable; so much so, my wife was away when I installed the new parts and she hasn't said a word about the changes even though she rides in the car regularly.

If the question is whether you should install a rear bar or not, the answer is, yes, you should.

Let just say that u won't struggle with a windy day anymore. It helps keep u going straight.

I personally feel that a RSB should have been a std part just like the FSB but it wasn't. Minor bumps it in road won't have any less effect on comfort.

IMG_1116.JPG IMG_1115.JPG Liking the TRD RSB, it's been installed haven't really tried putting the car through any paces as I just added the Michelin MXM4 Primacy Tires, they suck so far, called Michelin they said I need to put 500 miles on the tires to break them in.

Braking over bumps kicks the traction control in something I have never experienced owning this car; I'm getting crappy mileage, may be taking advantage of the 30 day guarantee sad part is Toyo Proxes A20 OEM tires are ridiculously over priced, but at least I know what I was getting with ride and mileage.

Anyone know of any other tire?

Hope all had a great weekend.. Happy Monday

Seeing OEM or close to OEM aluminum pedals aren't avail for the Gen III anymore, I made my own well pieced a set together... lol.. Gotta love google... so I found that the gas pedal for the Lexus NX200 - NX200h will fit perfectly in the Gen III and the brake pedal for the Lexus EX RS will fit perfectly. Instant set... now I just have to find a dead pedal lol...

Both are aluminum finish; it's not the satin finished, its polished.. The gas pedal is an overlay and has the exact cut for the Prius pedal.
