Hey guys can you please tell me how to disconnect the battery in the 2015 Prius C because I want to disable the airbag system so I can take out the airbag and every thread about taking out the airbag is for Prius (regular) and Prius V (irregular?) And they all state disconnect the battery but you know the battery in the Prius C is not exactly identical to the Prius V or the Prius (Regular) or even the Plug-In Prius much to the chagrin of understanding how to disconnect the Prius C battery. Do I need a 10mm monkey wrench to disconnect the black thing? Thank you for your help!

Than you @PriusInParadise you saved my day and my money and above all keep me out of frustration. Sliding my service plug works perfect to start my engine and drive my car. Still the CHECK YOUR HYBRID SYSTEM was going of. Quick start and turning of my car three times in row cleared the dash warning and back in place.

This saved me tonight. Almost identical situation. I've been putting my old stereo gear in my Aqua and today I finally got it all finished. Have my older boys for the night and I was showing my boys the install. Whilst sitting in the drive, car on, stereo running at a well above reasonable volume and all of a sudden dash lights up. Everything works but it won't go ready. I thought my 12v battery was stuffed but everything else was fine. I've just got out of bed after reading this, put the battery back in that was on charge, and my interlock was down not up. I'm assuming my 7yo who was in the back this afternoon swinging his feet around kicked it. For all I know he may have even done intentionally. Thinks so much for your help.
