Are you suspecting the electrical issues are related to the leaks from a poorly installed windshield?

took car first to safelite to check windshield for possible leaks. No leaks were found as i was standing there.
    I was referred to dealer.
Went to toyota told them the problem, they say that certain toyotas build up frost on the pipe in the summer causing the water to splash on foot especially when turning left. while using the ac.
I scheduled an appt to look their results was high resistance on brake switch.
I had them replace it cost was 167
warrantied for a year unlimited mileage. could not find water leak they said ac was clean of debris or dirt.

    so far no problems.
Could not return the continentals because it was special order. Just have to deal with it or take a lost. Anyway with that being said this
    forum looks to be done.
So with that said again its been great the prius is fanominal. lol

The Federal tax expense taken is at $.54 per mile if the taxpayer takes the mileage election (rather than actual expenses, which would be fuel, loan interest, repairs and insurance). So, this 150K/mile per year owner gets $8,100 per year "removed" from his income before calculating taxes if he elects to use the mileage method. The mileage method works best on lower cost, high reliability cars; we use it on an 06 Scion xB which has had only one $250 repair in it's life, 165,000 miles, paid cash, and has almost nil depreciation, plus 30mpg or better.

The tax rules are what leads some business owners to lease, rather than buy, vehicles and take the actual expense method which allows the business owner to deduct the monthly lease payments plus other expenses such as insurance, fuel and repairs.

    Isn't it $81000 if it's $.54 per mile?

    150,000 x 0.54 = $8,100.

Put that in your calculator and report back if it really gives you an answer of $8100.00
If it does, throw that calculator away!

Trashed calculator. Using the standard mileage deduction, 150,000 miles will allow the taxpayer to reduce taxable income by $81,000.

2 fas 4 u, I'm interested to hear how your 2014 v is doing. I have the same car (Two model), approaching 100,000 miles. No problems yet. Like to know what you've experienced north of 200,000 with yours.

This was an awesome read. Amazing that this car fetched $9K at auction.

I sadly traded in my '04 Accord 5MT EX sedan for the V. It had 308,000 miles. I was hoping the V is capable of that kind of mileage as well. Judging by this thread, it looks entirely possible. :D

I bought my '13 V Five with just under 46,000 miles. I'm already over 47K after just a couple weeks. I generally drive just 30K miles per year, so it'll take a while to get as high as you.

I have no idea why it inserted "iphone?" In the post. Tapatalk bug, maybe.

I haven't been in OT for a couple years. Haven't had my v for a couple years, either, though. I drove it cross country and sold it to a friend at the end of a west coast vacation. Great vehicle. I'd love to see them put the 2.5HSD in the next gen version.

    Edit: tapatalk did it again!

Bought my 2012 Prius V 5 about 9 months ago with almost 90,000Ks. Have put another 90,000 on it. I use it as a mini courier van. So I very much push it to the limits and more.
This car replaced my '03 Ford Focus that had 850,000Ks. Bought that one with 50,000 and had it for 8 years.
Will keep you posted, K's will add up fast.
So far oil changes and tires is all that I have done.
Enjoying the 40% fuel saving over the Focus.

Ask the dealer for the part number, source a junk yard part. $2k is crazy expensive for anything that isn't drivetrain related.
