I have had mine for over a week now, and the gas meter is still over halfway full. How often do you fill up?
Depends on how many miles of driving per day. I used to drive about 40 miles/day and filling it up every 10 days or so. Now just 8 miles/day and I don't keep track because it's taking too long, guessing about almost a month.
my commute to work is about 10 miles round trip. I put about 500-600 miles a month on my C, I fill up when to half a tank so about twice a month to answer your question.
Since I work from home I don't have a commute. I do drive my mother around a lot and go to my sisters for a few days at a time. I think I average about 23 miles a day. When I fill it I'm usually at about 330 miles or so (I fill up when I hit two pips on the tank). It is about twice a month, maybe 3 if I do more driving.
I generally fill mine up around every 600 km or so (that's a little under 400 miles). That usually gets me somewhere between one and two fill-ups a month.
I used to commute 40miles to work, and another 40 back. When I did I'd fill up every 4-5 days. When I had my previous car, I'd fill up every 2-2.5 days at $45 a visit. When I got my C I was very happy with the less frequent fill ups eating up my free time. Nowadays I drive 400-500 miles a month, works out to be ~3 fill ups every 2 months at $20 ea time.
Before I bought a Prius C, my Scion XB was an easy 7-8 fillups per month, my Toyota Corolla about 5-6. Average expense was $160 spent on gas per month ( last month it was $196). Having had my Prius C for a month now and only two fill ups and total spent for the month (less than $38).
Depends on how much I drive. I live in a small city and generally fill up only on the long highway trips. Went recently 585 km from one town to another without stopping for gas. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I recently drove from Lafayette, Louisiana, to Houston, Texas. I also drove two days in Houston: if you have driven there, you know that it is absolutely insane. I then drover back to Lafayette, all on one tank!
I drive about 300 miles a week. I can get seven sometimes eight days before getting down to two lines. Most of the time I try to keep it above half a tank so I can have petro in case of calamity in the area. Earthquakes to fires, it does happen in San Diego county.
Today's my 6 month purchase Prius C anniversary. I left the dealership with a full tank and I've filled it up once since then. I have about 1000 miles on her.
Is your Prius C brandnew? Mine is and I drive 110miles day/75mph on freeway for some of the drive and averaging 40-42 miles to the gallon on the interstate. Close to 50 off interstate. I'm getting frustrated myself. I am hoping in time it will get better.
About twice per month. So what made you decide to get a hybrid instead of a plug-in hybrid or all electric car?
I have had my car for 5 weeks. I have 4700 mi on it now. I am averaging 44 mpg across all tanks of gas so far.
Price. There's no plug in or all-electric that's close enough in price that I'd come out ahead over 10 years, comparing the price of the car with the expected fuel cost vs the expected cost for charging.
