Don't like the look of the shift knob and wanted to replace it. A few questions... 1.is it easy to remove? Just untwist/unscrew? 2.what shift knob size should I be looking for? 3.any other thing should I know? I'm looking at this (can't add link, so this is eBay description) Package includes: 1 x Shift Knob 1 x 8mm threaded adapter 1 x 10mm threaded adapter 1 x 12mm threaded adapter Specs: Height: 97.79mm / 3.85 inches Width: 46.99mm / 1.85 inches Design: VIP Luxury Knob 4.5/16" ( 8 MM ) 5 / 16" (10 MM ) 7 / 16" (12 MM ) Thank you.
The stock shift knob "un-screws". Simply turn it counter-clockwise. As far as what will fit, you would have to determine the thread size / pitch from the stock shift knob. Hope this helps.
What's wrong with the way the shift knob looks??? (When you're over 60, none of that silly stuff matters any more! That's how I save money. )
Actually, what would be cool would be paying homage to the old muscle cars with a Derringer shift knob since a pistol grip would be the wrong orientation.
actually if the knob is a simple "twist-off" then you can search for touch activated shift knob on ebay. I think these are what you are referring to.
