Careful, I discovered that the closest setting is slow to pull the trigger when necessary (more harsh braking). I opt to use the middle setting since the default conservative setting encourages too many drivers to move into my lane. Just an aside on the GPS, I put in my son's new address as the destination in Boston and there were three distinct locations listed and no way to determine which one was the correct one as the zip code is not displayed (If selected the GPS coordinates were listed, not helpful). It's funny that you can get good MPG but only a mediocre score. On occasion, I've had scores in the 90%s but with very poor l/100km. It shows that TOYOTA isn't paying for my petrol.
I think that factors in conditions somehow. Like if you're driving uphill and getting 45 mpg it might be more impressive than going downhill and getting 90. But yeah, the scores do seem somewhat random.
How about that! I certainly didn't expect the car to do so well. My mileage looks very much like yours and I live in the mountains!
