Too many to list! But this was one of my favorites: 1997 BMW 540i 6 Speed manual. At the time, this was one of the ultimate sleepers out there...

Wow. Whatever you're doing, you must be doing something right. I'm in Houston too so you should take your ride to one of the "Car &Coffee" show so I can drool. I've come to realization that I won't be getting a Ferrari or anything in that class this lifetime.

I've been driving hybrids since 2003, with the Honda Civic Hybrid. Since then, I'm on my third Prius, 2006, 2009, and now 2016. I wasn't necessarily in the market for a new car on the last two, but I was sold on the technology updates, so I couldn't help myself.

If I was smart, I'd still be driving my 1995 Camry! That was the best car I ever had. Not one problem in 10 years. Should've kept it.

Cars have never impressed me (and certainly didn't impress any girls I knew!) My cars were just a hunk of metal to get me from home, to the job, to the burger joint, and back home again.

And now my Prius will take me through the "golden years." :D Watch out! Old man in a Prius! I should move to Mayberry, North Carolina.

    Hey Cruiser,
I gave my 2004 Camry to my daughter with 160K on it and never a problem with it. Just maintenance items. I thought that car was efficient until I got the Prius...lol
Also I used the power mode to get the engine warmed up for a oil change and it was fun and sporty...‼️

Yes, the Gen4 Prius can be fun & sporty, and still get great gas mileage. There's no reason for us to be "fuddy duddies" just because we drive a Prius.

It was fun and and the engine stayed on and ready much more of the time! Sometime I may do it for a whole tank just to note the difference. I should do the test before gas prices go up....

My gas mileage hasn't suffered. In fact it's improved. I still accelerate smoothly up to speed, and then just barely let off the pedal and the engine drops back into the Eco range. I can't explain it, but the whole car just seems to run better in the PWR mode. It feels more like a normal car, and that's what I like. I don't have to concentrate so much on all that hybrid stuff. I just drive it, and enjoy it.

Does yours stay in PWR Mode? If I select PWR Mode, it reverts to NORMAL on next start-up.

Hi Alan. Mine stays in whatever drive mode I select. Never changes when I turn the car on or off.

I also switched the mode "on the fly" a couple times, doing about 50 mph. I immediately felt the gas pedal change and get lighter. It felt very odd at first, until I got accustomed to it.

Yes, I know - I have to put it on PWR when I realise it forgot to do it - which is EVERY time. And, if I've got my foot on the throttle, it immediately accelerates and I have to pull back. But generally I'm in Cruise Control anyway, so I don't notice.

    It seems that it's normal:

"...Also, POWER MODE will be cancelled automatically when he POWER SWITCH is turned off."

"However, NORMAL MODE and ECO MODE will not be cancelled automatically ... even if the POWER SWITCH is turned off".

    :cry::cry::cry::cry:

Well, that's ok. A simple press of the drive mode button, and we're back in business. :)

I think I will go back to ECO mode... and see what it feels like to be among the 99% of all Prius drivers. :ROFLMAO:
