Embarassing CD issue

    I have a bad habit of slipping small pieces of paper like receipts into my CD slot. It finally happened - the CD changer mis-identified the papers as a CD, grabbed them and sucked them into the works. How hard will it be to get the papers out?

    nothing happens. Sometimes on start up I get a "NO CD" error and have to select a differenct mode to listen to music.

    You could try to remove the head unit and see if you can get the paper out that way.

    I'd turn the car off so that the player doesn't start spinning and jamming the paper further inside.

    Fortunately for you, it was in the single dash unit and not one of the older 6x stackers.

    You had better luck than I did a few years ago - a label came of a Compact CASSETTE - remember them? Unfortunately I had to remove it and partially disassemble.
