I was going to say 230 so they could use the original Volt announcement. Where's Fritz Henderson when you need him?

We are getting close. 350-400 is my magic number as that is as far as I like to drive in a day. I would have no problem with a car with that range and the infrastructure to charge it. The Volt handles our every day needs with no gas needed, but to replace an ICE car it needs to be able to drive farther than I want to.
we have two cars, so i only need 150 miles once or twice a week. the hycam is great for longer trips.
I've been reading that journalists are easily beating the EPA rating which is impressive. I have read 240 with over 20 left and even better. They are getting very close to a car that would make me take the leap. Maybe my next company car will be one.
From first hand experience driving an ev (Mitsubishi), keep in mind that if you use AC, or especially heat, range can easily drop by 25%. In cold weather add another 10% drop. I love my ev.... almost as much as my prius. To me, even a 200 mile range (that's without snow and ice) still does not free me from needing an ice. My needs are easily handled with a range of 75 miles, which the mitsubishi gives me. Why pay for and carry extra batteries? It's great though to see the improvements coming.
