Prius technical gurus, I am shopping around for some new headlights (not just the bulbs) such as these (but not these): 06-09 TOYTOA PRIUS JDM BLACK HALO PROJECTOR HEAD LIGHTS - eBay (item 330436548071 end time Dec-19-10 14:32:20 PST) However, it seems that the 2004-05 Prius has some differences to the 2006-09 Prius which makes the headlights non-compatible. Can anyone tell me what the differences are? Is it minor like wiring harnesses differences, or mounting bracket changes? Or is it major like amperage/voltage requirements? Buying and modifying is a much better answer than "can't be done". Thanks for your help.
Thanks! That helps quite a bit. Now I need to know what wiring changes there will be. It seems like there is an extra light, and if that's the case, I might be able to just not hook it up.
Any updates on this? My headlights look like total dogs hit, and now one of them doesn't work. I removed the windshield washer tank to get to it, replaced the bulb, and found the back of the headlight filled with water. I put a new bulb in it and it still doesn't work. I seriously want to tear these piles of crap out and replace them with halogens.
