Today was my second fill up. I got my Prius 3 touring last week of August. The first 526 miles I averaged 51 mpg. Today, I filled up at 510 miles and averaged 50.06. And the weird thing was this second tank I drove it much harder, wanting to see what I'd do with my regular driving habits and not caring about mileage. Only difference this time was less highway mileage. I'm very pleased either way. I'm coming from a car that could barely break 22 mpg all highway. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
88.64 MPG--on my first tank! 862 miles using 9.725 gallons Eco two and use normal mode. The display showed 89.1 MPG at fill up I filled up to the top--but not overflow. This is my fourth Prius and with all previous models, 04, 10 and 13, I had multiple 700 miles plus tanks averaging over 70 MPG.
Holy cow, that's impressive. Congratulations! You might consider an account on Fuelly to help others have a basis for comparison.
I'm mostly highway and haven't been able to get it past 54 AVG MPG. I have the Eco. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I was hoping to get 45 when I bought mine. I've never had a car that met the EPA estimates in my driving. I would have been ecstatic with 54 and I'm over the top with the 63 that I'm getting.
Wow that's awesome. I am very pleased. I used my first half a tank which gave me at least 300 miles! Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I have a question for youguys. I bought my eco with 3 miles on it. Since driving it. My daily mpg averages are in the 60's however the avg mpg displayed started at 0 and has gone up very slowly. In 200 miles it has finally reached up to 50 mpg. Can anyone explain what im not seeing right. Ive seen videos of others review and the average mpg can move around very quickly. Mine barely moves! The fuel gauge has dropped about 2 1/2 dots and it shows a range of 550miles. So again, what am i not getting? TIA
That's strange. You are talking about the lifetime reading, correct? Have you reset one of the trip meters to see if it behaves the same way?
