    I had the EOE Safety Recall done when the inverter was replaced June 27, 2014.
    I received the ZE3 letter Nov. 24, 2014.

    Well, I did register both of my car with Toyota owner website and when the 2010 was totaled I removed it with the comment it was totaled. But you are right even the dealership I bought both the 2010 and the replacement sends me junk mail that they want to buy it :)

    I received my letter today. I had the recall done March 1st. 9 months it took to get the letter. It is for my car and serial number. Should be getting one soon for my wife's car - I hope...

    I received my letter yesterday 12/15. Had my recall done in March & Purchased my car Feb 1st new 2013 Prius 2.

    Brake ECU reflash & EOE recall NOT performed.

    Sorry to revive such an old thread, but does anyone have a copy of the letter or confirmation of vehicles applicable by VIN?

    Was this extended to Canada?

    I have a used 2010. The car stalled the other day and after other intermittent failures, it was diagnosed by an independent shop as having a bad inverter. They informed me of the recall. Took it to a Toyota dealer, who zapped the software but didn't replace the inverter and has told me that it's fine. I very much suspect it will fail again, soon. I'm in Canada but it's an American car.

    So there's two possibilities: 1) They should have replaced the inverter since it failed before it was seen to for the recall, and 2) It should theoretically be covered under warranty. Unfortunately, as a used owner with no particular dealer relationship, I have no paperwork or advocate to support this, further complicated by the fact that it's an American car. Any help appreciated!

    Okay, more questions than answers here but long story short:

    - Trouble code was P261B – Engine Coolant Pump “B” Control Malfunction
    - Independent mechanic quoted me about $2,000 to fix, saying that was mostly for parts. I assumed this was because the entire inverter needed replacing, although I expected that would be more. If it's just the pump, I'd expect less, so now I'm confused.
    - Toyota dealer, being notified of the symptoms and independent dealer's diagnosis (not having the code, nor bothering to phone them/me to get it), charged me another $123 for diagnosis and performed recall MG ECU Updates on the inverter and claim the car is good to go. Furthermore, they claimed that full replacement of the inverter was only required if it was ruined in the process of the dealer performing the ECU update, not if it showed signs of failure before the update.

    I'm pretty confused at this point. I need to drive several hundred miles tomorrow but it's a little nerve wracking waiting for something to go wrong again. On the other hand, I don't want to fork over cash for a repair without being confident it's going to resolve this issue, and without chance of it being covered by a recall if it's a $2000 fix for a manufacturing defect Toyota has acknowledged.

    I've been lurking here for a long while and gleaming lots of helpful advice. Hopefully someone here will now have some insight on my specific situation and it'll help out any future owners. Thanks in advance for any help!

    Warranty Enhancement Notification ZE3 covers failure of the IPM & other internal inverter components potentially damaged by IPM failure. This condition is indicated by hybrid system DTC P0A94, P324E, P3004 and/or P0A1A. If one or more of these DTC are detected various warning lamps will illuminate and the vehicle will enter fail safe mode.

    If the dealer performed Safety Recall E0E then the IPM is warranted for 15 years from the in service date if it fails and throws some combination of the above codes.

    What happened to the DTC P261B? Your problem isn't inverter related. Here's a thread discussing your situation: Coolant pump B control malfunction (P261B) | PriusChat . I would not drive the the car very far without a working coolant pump for the gasoline powered engine.

    Thanks for clearing the air. I will not drive it over the local, infamous mountain highway today, and I really hope the damage hasn't already been done by a stupid communication breakdown.

    Is $2000 a steep repair bill for that? I thought the part was about $500.

    I have no idea. Patrick is the mechanical expert. I monitor coolant temp (inverter & ICE) with a ScanGauge.
